Greetings once again loyal listeners, on this installment of Moonhawk Studios Presents we shall be delving back into the world of webcomics by welcoming the creator and writer of A Broken Winter, Kale Night, onto the broadcast.  A Broken Winter is a very stark and unrelenting story, there is no sugar coating here as a word of warning this piece of fiction examines some very heavy and dark thematic structures ranging from torture, cannibalism, forced labor, totalitarianism and child abuse in very frank detail. Yet this is not a take of utter pitch blackness and indeed such controversial elements are not used out of gratuity. Indeed this is a tale about those who defy the system, among other things, trying to find love, freedom or just trying to cope against the weight of the world and the dictatorship. There are currently two threads to the story,  the first deals with, a governmental officer named and his adopted son, named Kokkan and Kuroda respectively, and how they met and the brutal and risky consequences therein. The second follows Reisen, a free spirit who discovered the government’s darkest secret when he learned the mysterious origins of a mysterious affliction called Moon Sickness.  The two threads are tied together by the fact that Kokkan also happens to be Reisen’s biological son.  On our Fragments of Silicon segment is the first part of our discussion on the Zelda franchise, and being one of the largest and most storied of video games, there is a lot of material to cover, so much that one episode will not be enough.  As always be sure to join in on all the fun and adventure this Friday at 10:00 PM EDT/7:00 PM PDT live on Talkshoe and Livestream.
