Yes indeed it has come around for another episode of your favorite gaming related podcast and this week we shall be welcoming Katie Hallahan and Ceaser Bittar, the PR manager and CEO respectively, of Phoenix Online Studios onto our humble show. Phoenix Online Studios has much less to do with questionable online universities and much more to do with one of the most storied yet sadly neglected genres in this day and age, the point-and-click adventure game. Originally banded around the loving tribute to the vaunted King’s Quest series, The Silver Lining, they joined up with some industry professionals and have since migrated into the world of commercial software.  Their first purchasable product is the episode series Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller which debuted on the iPad late last year and has seen all four episodes of the first season released on mobile and PC. As the title suggests you will be following FBI Special Agent, a cop on the edge who doesn’t take no guff from her superiors, as she gets entangled in the devious machinations of a serial killer known for taking perverse pleasure in eliminating sets of family members. On the second half of the broadcast our topic of discussion shall be comedy in video games, both the bit pieces and the entire set of games dedicated to the art of making people laugh.  All of that is happening live this Wednesday on Talkshoe this Wednesday at 9:00 PM EST/6:00 PM PST and if you miss the live broadcast you can always download the show off the Talkshoe site and now also on iTunes.
