Greetings once again and welcome to your vertical slice of gaming goodness and geek culture in which should be the last Wednesday broadcast for the time being. Indeed as mentioned before the show is moving to Thursdays at 10:00 PM EDT/7:00 PDT so that we can be in alignment with our executive producer’s schedule. It shall also be noted that during this time Fragments of Silicon staffers Keith W and NakaTeleeli will be on hiatus due to clashes with their schedules. We do hope that this situation is temporary and we can have a full cast back in the near future. More details on that as the situation evolves.

Our guest this week is Benjamin Crocker, the head of another of this new generation of indie developers, the Orlando based Hapa Games. This bit of new blood recently released their first game, a rather curious fusion of brawler and rougelike, done in a very distinct and abstract graphical style. The game is called Ascendant and it being part of the rougelike family, it does not play around with difficulty and indeed it does have permadeath. Our topic of discussion this week will be about Minecraft, from its humble beginnings to its present juggernaut status to its future with Microsoft.  As always be sure to tune into the program live on Talkshoe this Wednesday at 9:00 PM EST/6:00 PM PST or if you miss the show be sure to download from Talkshoe or iTunes.
