Greetings once again and welcome to your vertical slice of gaming goodness and geek culture. On this week’s installment of Fragments of Silicon we shall be returning to our regular stock and trade as it were as we welcome another newcomer to the video game industry. Hailing all the from Perth in Western Australia we shall be welcoming the creator of upcoming adventure game dubbed Paradigm, Jacob Janerka. Paradigm is a surreal adventure game that is carting influences ranging from 1990s Lucasarts games to many Eastern European settings dating back to the 1970s and 1980s and will prominently feature a sloth.  The Topic of Discussion this week shall be a retrospective on Ralph Baer, the man who had come to be billed as the Father of Video Games for help to invent both Pong and the Magnavox Odyssey as well as create the game Simon.
