Greetings once again loyal listeners, on this installment of Moonhawk Studios Presents, we head back to the realm of webcomics as we welcome Shane Woodis to the program. Shane is best known as the creator of the long running gag-a-day Elijah and Azuu. The comic follows the titular protagonists, an angel and a demon, as they do battle for the immortal souls of humans, but get involved in all sorts of wacky hi-jinx, a lot of which is related to their respective love interests, Frajya and Amy.  Said comic was in production for a good 5 years and totaled in at 1200 plus pages and much more recently has spawned a sequel series focused on the demon child Jesomet, called Pre-Teen Demon. This comic series is a lot more dramatic and serious thus far, centering around a trio of teens and a dark bargain with Jesomet in order to save a friend from an insane cult. In the Fragments of Silicon discussion of the week we shall be re-visiting the 3DS, now a year into its lifespan, the turn-around, the upcoming games and the eShop. Greetings once again loyal listeners, on this format shifted edition of Moonhawk Studios Presents we shall be welcoming Richard Esguerra, representative The Humble Bundle Inc. The Humble Bundle is the original grouping of interdependently produced games paired together and sold at a “pay-what-you-want” rate.  Most recently they released the Humble Botanicula Debut bundle, released to celebrate the games of Amanita Design and done in conjunction with the World Land Trust organization, helping to save the rainforest one acre at a time. Hopefully within the confines of our 30 minute interview we shall learn of some future designs.  Following that ill be the requisite news segment as well as a truncated Inside The Studio segment. Finally in Fragments of Silicon, we shall be discussing the larger impact games have made on society, quite the heady fare there. All of that will begin at 10:00 PM EDT/7:00 PM PDT on Talkeshoe with the pre-show and post-show portions on Naka’s Twitch TV channel.

In our Fragments of Silicon segment, we shall be discussing the long running survival horror series, Resident Evil. Greetings once again loyal listeners, on this installment of Moonhawk Studios Present we shall be welcoming CJ Iwakura, head of the self0titled translation group Iwakura Productions.  Iwakura Productions translator and localizer of Japanese games in both a professional and fan capacities.  They have recently completed work on the eXceed Collection, a trilogy of bullet-hell shumps for Nyu Media and Capcom, available now on Gamersgate and coming soon to Steam.  They have also recently announced a fan-translation project centered around Shadowrun for the Sega CD. On Fragments of Silicon we shall be wrapping up old-school month with a discussion on the grandfather king of all portable gaming devices,  the Game Boy. Naka is once again work constrained this week and thus unable to join us, thus the whole boradcast will be on Talkshoe only.  At any rate be sure to join us in all the fun and adventure this Wednesdsay at 10:00 PM EDT/7:00 PM PDT.

Greetings once again loyal listeners, on this landmark edition of Moonhawk Studios Presents; yes indeed this broadcast in special as the crew celebrates three years on the air. We shall be welcoming Clint Basinger of the rather the Youtube and Blip review series, Lazy Game Reviews.  Contrary to the name, the review have quite a bit of production behind them these days. The series does occasionally focus on old consoles and games but the main focus by far is old computer games and rarer the vintage computer hardware, and also The Sims 3 Expansion Packs. On the Fragments of Silicon segment old school month continues into the Silver Age of Gaming as we talk about the defining console of that era, the Nintendo Entertainment System.  Naka is unfortunately unable to join uus this week due to work constraints so we will be broadcasting only on Talkshoe and indeed addressing the technical failures of late if that fails then Keith’s Livestream, which will be linked when and if it is needed. Also in our Fragments of Silicon segment we shall be continuing on with the theme of Old School Month as we talk about the golden age of arcades and the great video game crash. Mtt is the host of the eponymous Youtube series Matt Chat where each week he showcases a classic game of yore,from Fallout and Wasetland to Super Mario Kart and The Sims. Also of prominence are his in depth interviews with veterans of the video games industry including such luminaries as Brian Fargo, Howard Scott Warshaw, David Fox,  Chris Taylor and many others. He is also the co-founder of Armchiar Arcade, his video game site dedicated to retro gaming. He is also the author and co-author on the books Dungeons and Desktops and Vintage Games as well as a number of articles at various site including Gamasutra.

On the Fragments of Silicon segment we begin our journey back in time to the foundations of the video game industry with a discussion about Atari and its dominating Atari 2600 system. Naka will indeed be joining us this week, so the pre and post-shows will be broadcasted on his Twitch TV channel, the main broadcast will be on Talkshoe. This time we shall be discussing his third localization project, Fortune Summoners: Secret of the Element Stones. The game is a action role playing game done in the style of cult classics like Zelda II and Popful Mail detailing the story of energetic sword-wielding schoolgirl Arche Plumfield and her trails and tribulations with moving to a new town, from fitting in at magic school to making new friends like Sana, Stella which culminate into a coming of age story as the three compainions well have to match wits with the forces of evil. On this week’s Fragments of Silicon segment we shall be discussing the new handheld from Sony, the Playstation Vita, Once again Naka will be able to join us this week so be sure to look for the pre and post-show segments on his Twitch TV channel. As always the main broadcast will be happening on our Talkshoe channel so be sure to tune in to all of the fun and adventure this Wedensday at 10:00 PM EDT/7:00 PM PDT.
